Today, on the All-Ukrainian Day of Psychologist, Natalia Krotenko, a psychologist at the Tarashchansky Resilience Center and a psychologist at the Center for Social Services of the Tarashchansky City Council, received an honorary acknowledgment from the Kyiv Regional State Administration during the solemn event “Unity. Resilience. Professionalism”, held as part of the All-Ukrainian program ‘You are like’ in Irpin.
This recognition is for her diligent work, providing psychological assistance to the population of Kyiv region, introducing innovative methods in her work, as well as her personal significant contribution to improving the mental health of the nation.
It is worth noting that Natalia’s achievements were made possible thanks to the coordinated and professional work of the entire team of the Resilience Center. It is the support of colleagues, a common desire to help people and the creation of a safe space for restoring mental health that became the basis for these professional achievements.
Natalia works with community residents on a daily basis, supporting them in difficult life circumstances, helping them cope with stress, loss and emotional burnout. Her professionalism, humanity and dedication have earned her deep respect among her colleagues and all those who have sought her help.
The event was an expression of respect for the professionals who tirelessly care about the mental health of Ukrainians, selflessly fulfilling their mission. At a time when our country is going through the most difficult challenges, the work of psychologists is of particular importance. They are support for those who have lost their homes, loved ones, and sense of security. They help soldiers returning from the frontline and civilians living under the daily pressure of anxiety. They teach them to find strength and support each other. Their professional skills, empathy and sensitivity are the foundation on which our resilience rests.
There are 3 Mental Health Centers and 20 Resilience Centers in the communities of Kyiv region. As part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program “Are You Okay?”, which is being implemented at the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska, 23 community days were held for various target audiences.
The need for psychologists’ help will remain relevant. The number of people in need of help is increasing. Therefore, our common task is to help those who help others. To create conditions for these professionals to have resources, support, and recognition. So that they can continue to be there for those who need it.
