On June 5, the multifunctional IDP Support Center of Mariupol district “Heart of the East” in Lviv hosted an event to summarize the first year of its activities “1 Year Together: From Heart to Heart”. Stepan Aslanian, the President of our foundation, the “Help For Ukraine”
Charitable Foundation, took part in the event. Among others, representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Mariupol Regional State Administration, international and non-governmental organizations were present. First of all, the participants honored the memory of the fallen defenders with a minute of silence. It was interesting and informative to get acquainted with the achievements of both the Heart of the East IDP Support Center in Mariupol district and the Resilience Center of the Sartana TG WE ARE TOGETHER. On this day, they not only reported on the work done, but also shared their experience and best practices in providing humanitarian, legal, psychological, social and medical assistance.
The Support Center has a children’s space where cultural, entertainment, educational, sports, psychological, art therapy events, various workshops, meetings, games, training, etc. take place. The Support Center is home to the Resilience Center, which helps people cope with psychological stress and other social challenges, as well as teach everyone to recover from traumatic events, return to active life and join community initiatives. In a relatively short time, the Support Center has gained popularity thanks to interesting trainings, lectures, talks, workshops, events, projects, mental health care programs, various workshops, and cultural and entertainment events.
The culmination of the recognition of the contribution and support of key international partners was the presentation of gratitude to the event partners and a symbolic meal in the style of the culinary traditions of Lviv region and the Greeks of Ukraine.
