We do not stop and move on. After all, supporting Ukrainians during the war is not just about providing humanitarian aid.
It is also about implementing various projects that will help them survive various crisis situations without giving up and without despairing of a better future for themselves, their families, and Ukraine as a whole.
Therefore, by joining the Resilience Project of the Ministry of Social Policy and the UNICEF International Fund, which is part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program “Are You OK?” of the First Lady Olena Zelenska, visited one of our Resilience Centers in Byshiv.
According to the Center’s employees, overcoming stress in war, recovering from crisis situations, re-engaging in life and, most importantly, taking care of one’s mental health is the main vector of the Center’s work. The format includes group activities and individual counseling, based on the needs of the individual.
Not everyone can help themselves when faced with stress, including because of the war. However, taking care of your emotional health is extremely important. You will be able to get free professional help and expert advice directly in your community by contacting the Resilience Center.
Psychologists and social work specialists work here, there is a mother and child room, and legal, medical and social counseling for citizens is organized. Since July, every community resident can come to the local Resilience Center and receive resilience building and a range of other social services free of charge. Residents can get the address of the Resilience Center in their community by contacting local authorities. All services here will be provided free of charge to residents, at the expense of the state and patrons who can join the project.
As of today, we have helped to open such centers in 15 communities across Ukraine, and 17 more will be opened within a month.
