A joint team with the NGO “For a Better Social Future” visited Zhytomyr region. After all, we could not miss the First Regional Forum of Resilience Centers.
The first forum was attended by, among others, Iryna Postolovska, Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine for European Integration, Polina Aldoshyna, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Head of BGV Charity Fund, psychologists and teams of such centers from 26 communities in 12 regions of Ukraine. Resilience centers are safe and barrier-free spaces where community members can receive free psychosocial support. Currently, there are more than 230 centers in Ukraine, and new ones keep opening. They are designed to help IDPs, military personnel, their families and anyone else who needs support. They provide services to reduce stress and anxiety, develop first aid skills, teach stress resistance and prevent psychological trauma. This meeting was a great opportunity to analyze best practices, share experiences, form a common vision for its development, scaling and integration into the social service delivery system in Ukraine. We thank our partners OKKO and Nova Ukraine once again! For the opportunity to implement the most daring projects. For the great support and the opportunity to travel around Ukraine!
