Humanitarian aid sent to a soldier undergoing rehabilitation

Every wounded soldier has their own story. It includes pain and sorrow, moments of despair and victory. But each story also contains an indomitable strength of courage, fortitude, and willpower, as well as an immeasurable thirst for life.

Oleksandr Akimniyazov from Slavuta, Khmelnytskyi region, also has his own unique story. Our foundation’s Ivano-Frankivsk hub team provided him with urinary catheters and consumables. Oleksandr was mobilized into the army in July 2023, and a year later he was wounded while performing a combat mission in Donetsk region. Since then, he has been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Rivne region. He could not move at all, only his eyes could move. His wife Kateryna is always by his side, supporting him during his rehabilitation. The care of the doctors and his wife has done its job — he can already move his arms and sit in a wheelchair. Still, the fact that the help we sent him is for life speaks for itself… And with that in mind, the value of the support from our partners who helped provide this assistance grows exponentially. Words cannot express our gratitude to our partners – Oksana Ulan and the team of the Ukrainian Medical Association in Germany, Mr. Vasyl and the caring citizens and volunteers of Hamburg, Flensburg, and Bremen, Ukrainehilfe Hamburg – for their help in carrying out this charitable mission. We are also grateful to Nova Poshta and Humanitarian Nova Poshta for organizing the delivery of humanitarian cargo on a charitable basis and for their unwavering logistical support!
