The Ministry of Social Policy together with its partners presented a unique communication guide for Resilience Centers “Recommendations for Building Community Resilience”. The event was attended by the President of our Foundation Stepan Aslanian and Volodymyr Berezovsky.
This guide will help communities to implement the Resilience Program on the ground, introduced by the Ministry of Social Policy as part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program You Are Well? by First Lady Olena Zelenska. It will also tell you how to organize the work of Resilience Centers, establish partnerships, and form a project vision as part of other social activities carried out on the ground.
The project was launched in December 2023. In 10 months of operation, the Resilience Centers have conducted more than 500 thousand different activities to support the mental health of Ukrainians. 211 participating communities have been selected, and 180 communities have already launched Resilience Centers. The rest are preparing their spaces for opening.
The guide was developed and published by the Ministry of Social Policy together with the Astarta-Kyiv agricultural holding, the Believe in Yourself Charitable Foundation, the CMU Coordination Center / Mental Health UA, and the Ruban Litvinova Social Impact Advisory agency.
For the teams of Resilience Centers and communities that are actively implementing the Ministry’s flagship project, the Guidelines will become a practical and useful tool in their daily work. After all, it contains practical recommendations and answers to questions that Resilience Center teams face on a daily basis:
▪️як choose effective communication tools
▪️як work with crisis situations, myths and prejudices about mental health
▪️як create a culture of caring for one’s psychological state.
